The U.S. military is rolling out new and more durable backpacks and tents for children in the coming months.
The military says it will roll out the new backpack designs for children and young adults beginning with its newest addition, the M4X, in the spring of 2019.
The M4x is a modular backpack designed for use with the Army’s new M-4D backpack, which will replace the M-8 backpack in service with the Marine Corps.
The M4 packs a capacity of up to 14 pounds (5.4 kg), and is designed to be worn with the shoulder straps and backpack straps.
The military is also introducing new M3 and M3A backpacks to the fleet.
These will have a more durable, lightweight design with a removable shoulder strap and carry up to four adults.
The Marines and Army are both also rolling out the M3M backpack in the new 2019 Marine Corps model.
The backpack has a capacity up to 20 pounds (11.2 kg) and weighs just under 3 pounds (1.5 kg).
The Marines also said the M1B backpack will be available starting in 2020, while the Army is working on the M2B backpack for the M9M combat vehicle.
